The American Motorcyclist Association, known as AMA, announced today that the sport touring motorcycle cup holders, the American touring motorcycle helmet and the American sport touring helmet have been added to the AMA’s roster of official apparel items.
The new additions to the group’s collection are part of a wider initiative by the AMA to highlight the accomplishments of the sport riding industry, with the goal of inspiring and promoting sport riding and supporting riders in the sport.
The sport touring helmets, sport touring bike helmets and sport riding gloves were developed by the American manufacturer, AeroVironment, in partnership with the AMA.
They are the first motorcycle helmet products that are offered exclusively by the manufacturers themselves, with no collaboration between the manufacturer and the AMA, said AMA President and CEO, Joe Lutz.
“We are proud to partner with the makers of these great motorcycle helmets, and look forward to working with AeroVirionment on their continued development of these iconic products,” said Lutz in a statement.
“As the nation’s leading motorcycle helmet manufacturer, we are excited to bring these innovative helmets to our members and the sport community.”
The sport riding helmets are available in three sizes: the sport bike, the road bike and the road touring helmet.
The road touring helmets are the smallest size, which is the standard size for the American riding community, while the road biking helmet is the largest size, the equivalent of the helmet size required by most road riders.
