“It’s such a unique opportunity,” Macdon said.
“There’s so many great people working in food, food culture and food journalism in Australia, but it’s not always the focus of the news.”
So I think it’s really important for us to really look at the culture and the history of the country, and try and understand where our food comes from, what’s the flavour of the food we’re cooking.”‘
She also wants to make sure the stories are accurate and not misleading, as well as give viewers an understanding of the people and places involved in Australian food.””
Foodie” will feature a range of stories from Australians, but the focus will be on Australian food, with special focus on the region of the world, said Macdon.
She also wants to make sure the stories are accurate and not misleading, as well as give viewers an understanding of the people and places involved in Australian food.
“What I want to do is try and do a really good job of giving the people a fair picture of the culture, and then I hope to try and get a sense of what the food is really like in a lot of places,” she said.
She is keen to ensure that the food does not feel like an advertisement for the food industry, and wants to show Australians how the food has evolved over time.
“Food is a very complex thing, and we need to look at it through a whole variety of different lenses,” she added.
“The people who make the food, and the food itself, and how it has changed over time, and what’s happening in the industry is really important.”
